This week has been fantastic! Slow with no deadlines of any kind and long days of nothingness. Yes boredom has sunk in some days but if you look back at what we have accomplished this month it's been crazy busy. The boredom has been welcomed.
We have had our first ever sleepover at our house this month. Then shortly after that one we had our second one, just this last Sunday night.
2 different girlie friends.
2 girlie nights that summer fun is made of.
We can't wait for more.
We too, like the rest of the dancing world, had my daughter's dance recital. 3 dances. 2 costume changes. 3 shoe changes. A crazy dance rehearsal/picture night and our whole family still standing at the end of the weekend. Score! I also learned I have lots to learn in the battle of tackling low light photography. {Sorry for the poor quality picture below I was shooting a long distance away and no stability :( }
Her Music
For Ballet: Wind Beneath My Wings
For Tap: Locomotion
For Jazz: Rockin' Robin
We successfully finished all of our work for 2nd grade on the 16th!! Can you hear the angels sing!? My ears are rejoicing. It's the first year of our 3 years of homeschooling that we did it 100% ALL ON OUR OWN {as the first 2 yrs we took part in a virtual academy through our state}. Our own curriculum choices. Us holding ourselves accountable. I am so very proud overall that we accomplished it all even though there is a lot I need/want to work for next year. In 2 weeks we are buying all of our curriculum for 3rd grade and Preschool for my middle guy.
We have been busy working out and setting up the reorganization of our school bookcases {no pictures as of yet}. Truthfully it's been fun! My husband has great ideas too and we are on the same page with it all. It's awesome! Lots of exciting decor/organization coming soon.
We spent a 3 day weekend at Grandpa's house helping around with his to do list. Days before that we spent time at a friends house helping with her to-do list as well. We may not have our own house or yard to work in, but we loving helping out at others. Need any workers?
The kids also enjoyed a small water fight in the backyard with daddy.
We enjoyed the last Wednesday night Mid-Week Bible Study at church. That group will be sorely missed on Wednesday nights. It was so refreshing and needed. We can't wait until home fellowships start back up again. We could join another class for the summer but we are looking forward to sharing the nights to grow in the Lord the together as a family. We all are really amped about for this God lead journey this summer.
My husband and I have "enjoyed" a trip to the dentist for some deep cleaning. Please note sarcasm. The aftermath though is so worth it.
I sadly didn't pick up my camera a ton this month as so much living was taking place. That alone seems huge to me. Not very long ago, well it seems like ages ago but it's not, we never had things to do. The life the Lord has given us has blown our minds with activities and the growing friendships. Amazing.
I have been doing more work for a friend at church. My husband has been steady at his work and we have talked of looking for a second job just to help out with all the Lord has revealed lately.
We have enjoyed many giggles, many tears and hard times, lots of love, and lots of hugs. So far June has rocked!! Hence why I haven't blogged as much. :)
Hope your June as been great as well!!
