The last couple weeks or so we have been scouring the Internet searching curriculum for next year. Asking practically everyone we know what curriculum are they using for next year and so forth.
Can you say...
Information.Overload!?
Either way it has been really awesome seeing all the wonderful options out there. I wish there was time to do it all, but lets be honest... Teacher would be burnt out as well.
This will be our first year independently homeschooling and we are very excited. Here are our picks for this year... 2nd grade
You'll notice we are doing 2 different Science's next year. Reason for that is with Apologia we are going to go in-depth on one topic all year. The "A Reason For" curriculum is a broad study of all different topics. That one a friend is also sending to us her left overs. Full kits and books. All we need is a student workbook. We are going to do the Apologia 2 days a week and the other 3 days a week.
At least that is the game plan at the moment. Probably will change once we get everything and we write out our lesson plans for the year. :)
We have already ordered some for next year. Science: Apologia, History: Story of the World, and our summer workbook is all on it's way. SO.EXCITED!! Now the question will be...
Can we wait till the "official" start of 2nd grade to begin work in them... I don't know. :)
We haven't decided on what to do with our soon to be 3yr. We want something but haven't found just what we are wanting yet.
What are you using for next year? Are we using anything the same? I'd love to know! :)
