Atomic bomb worthy would be a huge understatement.
I'm not sure if it's the busyness (although I know it's a huge factor...) or the change of seasons or all the above and a bag of chips, but let me tell you... I'm beat!
Exhausted
Tired
Ready to cry
It's that moment in life where everything feels like a fight. Hormones of a daughter growing older. Energy of growing nonstop boys that don't seem to be so little anymore. A mom and dad who feel like their heads are barely above water in the shifting tides of this new time in their lives.
Oh the days of old where it was tea parties and funner (yes, I am using this word) schooling days. How I long to see them return to even some extent. I'm grateful for the activities and times and it's hard to think of the longing for them that existed before, but I miss those quiet home all day days of exploring and just being.
New ages... New stages... New learning as a parent and the nights of feeling defeated as the day draws to an end. New teaching of the importance of making time to study no matter how ugh it seems.
I told you this wasn't going to be a post of "ideal" life and school days. Yelling has accured. Disciple has accured. Tears and sadly bad words out of anger have accured. Not our proudest moments. Any of us.
There grace and at some point a light at the end... Thankful each day is new but very ready to get off the rollercoaster that has found residence in our home lately.
This is so my song lately!!
