So You Want To Be A Homeowner!?

Haha! So I kept giggling this to myself last night while we were taking up our ruined wood floors while we were waiting for the plumber that came this morning. I had to know what was underneath and there was no other way to dry anything that was sooping wet without bringing it up. So up it went.

As we were pulling it I laughed and said I should start a new blog and call it "So You Want To Be A Homeowner..." and post pics of our repairs and such. Haha! Loved the title ever sense!

So... What did we find when we pulled up the floor?

Can I get an indoor koi pond for $100 please Alex?

Why yes... yes I can.

It was crazy to see! On the upside we didn't have to take the floor up as much as we originally thought. The downside was whoa nelly the amount of water! We are now faced with what to do about our floors until we get new floors. Match as much as possible? Tear it all out and roller skate for a little bit while we pick the floors? Or just leave as is and keep searching till God says "this one."?

We'll see. Truly we aren't in a dire rush. First comes fixing, then comes days of drying, finally comes a lot of bleaching and praying no damage. Yesterday morning the plumber came and found the fast dripping leak and repaired it. Or so we thought. Cause that's how it always is right? We found a small pinhole leak on the pipe that you could hear whistling and see the water still coming out of. Ugh. So, back to waiting on the plumber to come back out this morning to prayerfully fix it for good so we can start drying this baby out!

We sat back yesterday after all was said and done and thanked the Lord for his provision. It could have been sooooo much worse!  We are thankful it's not more of the flooring, and thankful our home warranty covered the call/repair. The Lord is so good in all things!

Now we work on getting our house put back together as much a possible. Haha!

Bye bye cabinet wall...

Hello new "piping" that is still leaking on the left side one. Oi. haha! But the plumber is coming back out and hopefully it will be on the mend quickly and we can start effectively sucking out the water *that keeps leaking into the holes* and start blasting air into it to dry it all out.

So, You want to be a homeowner!? Haha!! (Please someone tell me I am not the only one that sang it with the Frozen tone!! Right!? Please!? Someone... anyone?)
