Oh I wish the English language created words that adequately described how happy I am that today is Friday!!
It doesn't but I am!
Today marks the day the bed bug saga should be over! Today marks the day my husband's 5 day mini vacation starts at 5pm. Today marks the day that it's finally only in 3 days we get to see my dad again. Today marks the end of a SUPER long 2 weeks (when the bed bug saga started!)
I am laying here in the middle of my living room on the only patch of carpet left. Why you ask!? Due to the bed bug problem we saw and appears we took care of, the apartment complex has a pest control company coming in today to treat the apartment. What does this mean? We've had to literally bag up EVERYTHING and disassemble all the beds and it looks like we are moving out.
Such tom foolery on my heart. It's hard 7 months ago unpacking to essentially pack again... To unpack... And pack again when our lease is up in November. Seems redundant to me. I understand though why we have to have all our stuff like this but still. Ugh.
The best part... I was told the pest guys "will be there Friday morning but no time frame. That helps. Because of the late nights preparing the apartment the kids have been sleeping in late. How do I judge a not too early or not too late time to wake their sleepy heads?
The last 7 months seem such a mess. While I am thankful for the roof and a job currently I really don't understand why all of this is taking place. The kids are taking all this in stride, but it's not fair to them. As a parent it's hard to continue to watch their lives be upside down and crazy too. They've been troopers sadly not being able to do hardly anything while I bag everything this week. To say they are stir crazy would be an understatement!
We need a break. A moment of peace and clarity. This Taz like spinning doesn't suit us well at all.
Guess I don't need to worry about when to wake the kids. 2 out of the 3 just arose to tell me "the sun is awake." I suppose that means its time to get this show on the road... Literally! Once the pest guys get here we have to be gone during the treatment and up to 4 hours after. So thankful for a nearby friend who offered to pick us up (since we have no vehicle) and let us hang with her till we can come home.
Did I mention I am sooo glad it's Friday yet!? And no I don't think I'll bag or hang pictures back up tonight I just want to relax. ;)
