Us - 1, Satan - 0

Since starting our Cash Envelope system and setting up our game plan that the Lord revealed to get to Point B Satan has been trying to have some fun.

He has brought what seems like small life things into our lives lately to I think derail us. Discourage us. Small things like our washing machine eating our brand new comforter. The one that kills us about it, it was the first new "adult" like bed set we have ever had {vs feeling like our bed set was bachelor like if you know what I mean}. The first new one in over 7 years. The one that seems to now be working its way into trying to deplete our freshly started emergency fund. Joining close in the ranks is my son's now ear infection. With the way our weather has been this is no surprise still unexpected.

You see this year our insurance changed and it is hitting hard in the wallet. I still have to make 3 doctor appts for the year and frankly the thought of the cost alone makes me want to breathe deep into a brown paper bag.

I have faith though and know that God would not have set us up and revealed what he did if he knew we were going to get discouraged and give up. No sir! He knew these things were going to happen days after our spiritual high of finally seeing a path to Point B.

So hear this Satan, We are on to your little game, and we hate to break this news to you but we already know the score.

US - 1
SATAN - 0

And we plan on keeping it that way. God is on our side and he has a plan. He will prevail and we aren't letting go. So try as you might but we aren't going to let you discourage us. We will remain victorious.

I know I keep posting this verse but it is another one of those verses the Lord has heavy on my heart right now.

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

With God for us... Who can be against us?
