End of January... Already!?

Wow!? Seriously today is January 31st!? How did that happen???

Well here it is none the less. It's been a great month for me and my family. Nothing out of the ordinary just lots of love and great moments together in general. Leaves nothing but a smile.

Also lots of new friends I have "met" through the blog. I love love love it!!! Welcome everyone! It is so awesome that you are here.

This month my kids and I ventured out to reading a chapter of Proverbs everyday. While I totally blew posting about it daily... sorry... I am proud to say we did it! Tonight we read 31. It was awesome! Honestly tonight my kids were saying "but I don't want Proverbs to end!" Aren't those words beautiful to the ears? Out of the mouths of babes. I am not sure which book of the Bible we shall start to read tomorrow. Maybe we will go to Genesis. I am so stoked about this. This beautiful journey reading the Bible daily with my babes. Now I realize there is only so much a 3 year and an 18 month old will understand, but the light in their eyes and the joy of my 7 year old with them... It really is priceless time with them. I love it! I love it on nights that daddy gets to be here to do it with us too, but I am proud of us for keeping it going every night even when daddy has to work. We also successfully completed all of January's reading in Jesus Calling too. I got this book in the middle to end of last year so it's nice to be able to start it from the get go. Seriously though you should get this book. It is fantastic and my kids l.o.v.e. it!!!

Being also that it is the end of the month I am one very proud momma to report that my 7 year old not only made her goal of 600 pledged pages of reading this month. She surpassed them with streamers, whistles, and all the bells attached.

SHE DOUBLED HER NUMBER OF PAGES AND THEN SOME!!!

No joke... my 7 year old {in 20 days} read 12 books for a grand total number of pages of...

*drum roll please*

1268 pages!!!!

Can you believe it!? She absolutely has knocked our socks off!!! She already has a book ready to start tomorrow. She is unbelievable. She has had such a fun time and just a light about her this whole time. I am so excited for her! We all are! What an accomplishment at 7! In our minds at least. It is so fantastic! Soo soo soo proud of her!

Man I love her. So awesome!

{sorry sappy mommy moment}

Other than fighting off yet another head cold not much else took place this month. It was such an awesome month though! I so can not wait to see all that God has in store for the next one! Only HE knows.

I'll leave you tonight with a verse that really spoke to me tonight.

"She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness." Proverbs 31:27

So very much to learn from this book in the Bible. So very much to gain. So many beautiful challenges and reminders. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it {and all of the Bible really}. I can not wait to read it again.

Your daughter did wonderful with her reading. That's so awesome! Reading the Bible with my boys is my favorite thing to do, too. They catch things that I sometimes overlook. Stopping by from the HHH.
