Five Minute Friday: Fear

It's that time again... Friday! So for the next Five Minutes I join many other sweet bloggers as we write on one prompt and what first comes to our minds when we read the word.

Today's Prompt: FEAR

Ready...
Set...

*** GO ***

"Whom shall I fear
I know who goes before me
I know who stands behind

The God of angel armies
Is always by my side

There are times in my life I fear things.
Sometimes many different things.

My children's education for one. Raising my children to be godly respectable people walking with hearts strong on their Father and walking the path God has paved for them. Yet God reminds me that he entrusted them to to my husband and I, and that as long as we keep our hearts and minds aligned with Him we will be training them in the way they should go.

I also fear relationships. Loving people is messing and hard. You always second guess words spoken and actions taken but God wrote that script. He always reminds me that sometimes you are only called to plant seeds for a season that he has other people to come behind to water and watch the garden grow. He softly whispers... "Lean in and seek me as I reveal what I wanted you to learn and grow about in you through each of these seasons in relationships I bring in and out of  your life."

I fear about my husband's work and family livelihood yet God reminds me that he has never let us starve or go without. That he will forever take care of us. He always provides to the penny of exactly what we need for the time period that we need, and has us placed right where we need to be. Why do we fear "this time" would be different at times?

Of course there are many other fears as well just as my minutes tick down these are some of the top of my fear list, but why fear what he has planned or how everything turns out? The God of angel armies is always by my side and he is leading the paths... He knows what he is doing and calms my fears because he is in the ultimate control!

Yes yes yes! Loving people is so messy and hard sometimes, and so worth it. Sometimes we don't know the right things to say and do, yet god weaves goodness into our stories, all of them.
