This week I have our Homeschool Curriculum for this coming year on the brain.
We are taking a short mental break fro school work to recharge our much needed batteries and I am using this time to gear up to purchase all of our materials for the coming school year. With this I am giving lots of thought of how to add or restructure how we did things last year.
One of the first things is a planner. For 3 years now I have been drooling over The Well-Planned Day Planner. I have always found things to talk myself and my husband from saying "ok let's get it." This year though I don't think I am going to talk anyone out of it. This year I think I am going to take the plunge and I'm giddy about it.
The other items I am thinking of redoing is our Bible, Handwriting, and Spelling Curriculum. Oh so much to choose from. It appears though the consensus in the house is we are definitely switching it up. I'm excited about this but what to chose?
My oldest will be 3rd grade. My middle in PreK and my youngest... 2 and full of energy. It's going to be a fun year. *wink wink*
So I am curious... what do you use for Bible, Handwriting ,and Spelling???? Love it? Hate it? Thinking of switching too? Please share if you feel inclined to.
As of right now I am thinking of doing the following...
Bible: Moving to Bob Jones' Bible Truths 3 vs. LifePac Bible we used this last year.
Handwriting: Either Bob Jones' Handwriting 2 (because it's the transition year) or Christian Liberty Press Grade 2 & 3 vs A Reason For Handwriting we used last year.
Spelling: Horizons 3 vs A Reason For Spelling we used last year.
Have you experienced any of these? I'd love to hear feedback.

Hi! I am popping over from HHH.
For Bible we just use our Bibles. :) All of the children and I gather around our table in the morning and we read selected verses. We usually work through one book at a time. Each child will talk about what stood out to them and read the verse(s) that corresponds to their thoughts.
Handwriting is a little different for some of our kids. The older children choose 1-2 verses from Proverbs or Psalms to write for the day. The younger children use A Reason For Handwriting.
Our spelling is covered by Wordly Wise. I adore Wordly Wise. It does an excellent job of combining spelling, vocabulary, reading and reading comprehension into one book the kids enjoy doing.
Have fun curriculum shopping!
Hi! Stopped over from the Hop. I have not used any of the curriculum you are looking at. BUT, if you want to make your own copy work - this website is awesome for that.
