I took this shot late last week out in the mountains with my visiting father in law and family. This flower was just starting to peek out to be kissed by the sun. I personally have never seen this stage in the blooming process myself so I told myself I wasn't leaving until I captured it.

All I can say is a great big "WOW"...stunning!!
So nice to meet you!
This is beautiful! I really like your blog. I'm a homeschool mom, too (at least for another two weeks). I'll soon be sharing pics of my youngest graduating (on the 28th...yikes!). It has been an incredible journey. I'll miss it!
Anyway...glad to "meet you!" I'm your newest follower.
Awwww thank you Susan and Michelle. :) Oh graduating!!?? Time sure does fly fast. This will be the end of our 3rd year. I can not believe my oldest will be in 3rd grade next year. :/ Thanks for the follow!! I'll definitely be heading over to both of your blogs as well. It's nice meeting you both too. :) Thanks for stopping by!
Wow. Stunning. What lens did u use?
:) Thanks for the kind words Alana. I used a 100mm lens. It was taken in Manual ISO 100 f/3.2 1/320 100mm :)
Oh I also did a really slight boost in aperture but that is it. :)
