Marketing and Communications Manager

A couple years ago I started helping a friend at church with some Social Media work for a business she was starting. It didn't really get anywhere at the time and the job was just left until she had time and money to come back to it. About a month ago now the job came back to me at a moment that seriously was an answer to prayer. This is my job title...

Marketing and Communications Manager

At the very same time, and in some ways I think it would be fair to say personal assistant falls in there too.

While pondering this job title and the responsibilities that go with I couldn't help but feel smacked with a realization that WE {the Children of God} could use these very same job titles for ourselves based on the work we have been called to do for HIM. Of course in the shadows now of the whole "the end of the world is coming" fiasco that we all just watched unfold it couldn't be more fierce that we spread the Word even more.

"No on knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24:36

We have been commanded to be God marketing and communications managers. His personal assistants.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

We are to do HIS work. Share HIS message. And to make sure that we are present for all the meetings that the Lord has placed on his calendar for us to attend. We are to return any calls to him, from him, and so forth that he or others may have required our services/assistance on.

Does any of this make sense? It's all jumbled in my head as the Lord continues to lay this on my heart. Please forgive me.

I have realized even more than ever that marketing for God isn't just by what I say about him or how I can get everyone to "like" him on Facebook. Or how often I can get people to retweet about him. It's how I carry myself. I, myself... you, yourself... are the very product in which HE created himself. That alone markets itself.

So how are we marketing God?

Do we show a holier than though product?

Do we show our faults, be transparent, and reveal through "demos" per say what grace, mercy, and unconditional love really is?

What about the communications aspect?

How do we communicate God?

Not just us alone with God and our daily communications together but with others? The lost sheep that he is seeking and longing for their hearts to meet his. Are we communicating in a language that their hearts understand? Or are we speaking above and beyond and losing them from the start?

It vital that now... right now... that we become more vigilant than ever to seek how we, as God's managers, handle the assignments we have been handed. Our roles are priceless but the price to be gained for those that we reach for HIM... Oh it's the kind of price that the angels themselves sing about.

So I challenge you... how serious are you taking this position that God has placed you in within his Royal Court? It's a lot more important and rewards more than you realize, and we don't need to spend millions in billboards to spread it. The price has been paid already and if you look in the mirror he already bought the advertisement in full. How are you going to spread it?

What a beautiful challenge God has placed in your heart to challenge us all with these days. Thank you!
