Do you ever notice how blogging (even if just for fun) has seemed to turn into a business? Sure there are blogs to promote what you do, or a product you sell. Sure I review books from time to time (oh that reminds me I have one to do soon lol) but it seems like everyone has an opinion on how you should blog these days and if you don't follow them then you aren't blogging properly.
I'll tell you what when I started 6 years ago blogging that wasn't the case at all!
There was no right or wrong way, and people just wrote as if they were journals. There were no pushes for products or out to try to make money. It was just an outlet to meet other people even though you were sitting at home. Sometimes alone. A connection with someone who may have been going through the same events you were.
We all used to write just to write. Random bits about our families or lives... Pictures... Meme's... Whatever came to mind even if it was just a sentence. Nowadays you have people writing about how to get readers. Keep readers. How to market yourself and then some. Honestly it all makes my head spin. Sorry but it does.
Is that what blogging is really about now? Marketing yourself? Sure some make good money off of their blogs and yes some income on the side would be nice, but I don't think I could ever do that. I like blogging for mere fact it is an outlet for me. It helps get my thoughts to paper. My fingers type faster than I write and for some reason when typing I can keep a train of thought...even with 3 kiddos running around. Writing I feel like I have to have the room quiet to concentrate and to make sure it is all out.
So I guess the point to this random blog post that oh so many people aren't fond of and actually stop reading blogs because they are random... is to say I am random. I blog what is on my heart or something I'd like to share. I don't have a set topic for this blog. Hence the title. God wrote out my script long ago I am just sharing some of the words that he has written. Topics change daily.
How do you blog?

I feel my blog is random. I've mostly concentrated on homeschooling but you may find posts about various things that goes on in our family life. I may mention a product, book, a place or something that I have really enjoyed using and thought it was well worth sharing on my blog. I love sharing good finds. I don't like visiting blogs with tons of ads and that are so busy that I just can't find my way around when I visit.
In my opinion, random is good.
:) I love your blog and I completely agree... Random is good! :)
