I am sitting here grading papers... ok well not this second but you catch my drift lol. I am cleaning out my daughter's "Done File" from last weeks work, but honestly I just didn't feel like doing it last night. Which means tonight I will be setting up my daughter's weekly assignment sheet and putting all her papers in the respective folders and daily box so the week is all ready to go. By knowing that this is what my night holds for me tonight it made me start to think...
How do you set up your child's school work for the week?
Do you do it the night before?
On Sundays?
Do they have a folder per subject with the respective papers inside?
Do you just hand them what they need as you get to the class?
I'll have to take pictures of our set up to show you all, but honestly right now everything is consuming all walkable area on my living room floor. So now might not be the best time to snap some pictures, but I'd love to know how do you keep yourself on track and set up your school week?
Inquiring minds would love to know. :)
Off to finish my papers now...
Oh yes one last thing...
Do you keep track of your child's graded papers? If so how? Online grade keeper? "Old School" pen and grade book?
How do you break down the percentages to get your child's final grade?
{ie: Daily worksheets = x%, Tests = x%, etc...}
Can't wait to hear your responses!! :) Thanks for stopping by... Grading is calling my name I must go answer it or I'll be up all night.
Talk to you soon.

I use A Well Planned Day Homeschool Planner to write my kids assignments in weekly. I try to keep them written at least a week ahead. I do have to make changes to the assignments and schedule when needed. I love the flexability of homeschooling!
My 16 yo daughter uses Switched On Schoolhouse for four of her subjects, so all those files are kept on my computer :) I use large pocket files for each child for all written work and workbook pages generally stay in the workbooks for easy access later.
I know this sounds very basic and not very exciting at all, but it seems to work for me so far.
Oh I SO don't think that sounds basic at all!!! I think it sounds wonderful! I have wanted Well Planned Day for 2 years now! How do you like it?? Do you use the meal planner on the side as well? How do you like S.O.S? I have looked into for when my daughter gets older and actually had a friend who used it for her elementary aged son. She though wasn't a fan. I'd love to know how you like? :)
